This spectacular chandelier is in overall reasonable condition.

Three drip pans have not been drilled.

One branch has a loss to a small scroll and had a restored break in the past. This restoration became detached recently. One other branch has been detached from its original fixing screw. Both branches will be professionally re-fixed and conserved at Sotheby’s expense, prior to delivery to successful bidder.

Later embellished with glass garlands and drops. Nozzles have been removed when fitted for electricity. Sotheby’s recommends professional re-wiring.

A very impressive piece.
