The Closing of Winterland shirt

Size: 70s L: 31’’L x 19.5’’W — Very good

The 31 December 1978 Winterland performance was the last concert at San Francisco’s legendary Winterland Arena. New Riders of the Purple Sage and The Blues Brothers opened for the Dead, whose set went on for nearly six hours. The show went through the night and, as it states on the back of the shirt, the audience was treated to a buffet breakfast at dawn. The entire performance was recorded and released as The Closing of Winterland, one of the Dead’s most celebrated live albums.
