Movement: gilded full plate, verge escapement, plain flat balance, decoratively pierced and engraved balance bridge, fusee and chain, cylindrical pillars, signedGirardier L'ainé

Dial: small eccentric white enamel dial signedGirardier L'ainé, Arabic numerals, outer minute ring, winding aperture to edge between 2 and 3, the dial set within a silver plate chased and engraved with a pastoral scene and figures of a shepherdess and bagpipe playing gentleman, the former offering the latter a platter of fruit, catch to the side at 3 o'clock revealing a polychrome enamel painted plaque beneath depicting an amorous couple in a bedroom setting, a lakeside scene beneath

Case: plain silver case with rope-twist effect bezel, numbered 6496 and stamped LEN within a lozenge-shaped cartouche

Movement: movement not running but balance appears to be free and a little impetus will set the watch very briefly running. 


Dial: hairline crack through the dial centre, chips and cracks beside winding hole, the decorative silver plate with some scratches, some slight rippling towards the top but generally the scene is in good condition. Polychrome enamel painted plaque is in hard enamel and appears to be in good condition. 


Case: dirty and tarnished, large crease to the centre of the case back. Small marks and scratches.
