"The first printed map devoted to California and the south-west of the present day United States" (Burden)

The present map was first issued in Wytfliet's 1597 Descriptionis Ptolemaicae Augmentum, and while no other states are known, the map was included in subsequent editions of the atlas through the Douai edition of 1611.
