The arms are those of Fermor impaling Draycote for George Fermor, 2nd Earl of Pomfret (25 June 1722 – 9 June 1785), who succeeded to the title on the death of his father on 15 July 1753. He was married on 3 May 1764 at St. James's, Westminster to Anna Maria (1736? - 24 September1787), sister of William Delagard of Bombay, and granddaughter and residuary legatee of William Draycott of Clarges Street, St. George, Hanover Square, Middlesex.
