A Set of Eight Mintons Pâte-Sur-Pâte Slate-Blue and Ivory-Ground Plates, 1915-21

decorated by Alboin Birks, incised signed AB or ABirks, with three 'cameo' portrait medallions in white slip within gilt-beaded border, joined with finely gilt bands and alternating with raised-gilt classical torchere motifs, the well of the cavetto with a finely tooled band of laurel branches urns and anthemion, printed crowned MINTONS globe marks in puce, impressed MINTONS mark, impressed date codes for 1915, 1917, 1920 and 1921
