Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately five hairline cracks dispersed throughout which are stable. The shade with surface soiling concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines and beneath the etched bronze overlays of the poppy centers, consistent with age. On the interior of the shade, a number of the tiles comprising the poppy blossoms display some devitrification, which is inherent to the aging and natural evolution of the material. The shade with some wear to the gilt patina of the leadlines. The gilt bronze base throughout with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions and wear consistent with age and gentle handling. The base with darkening to the patina throughout consistent with age and handling. With period sockets. With a period finial in good condition with wear throughout to the gilding; the knop has been recently stabilized.
