Overall in very good condition. The shade with some occasional, extremely minor surface irregularities and particulate inclusions inherent in the making and not visually distracting. The upper rim with a few scattered small edge chips consistent with age and handling, not visible when the shade is assembled to the base. On the inner surface of the upper aperture there are a few small vertical tool marks inherent to the making. The base displays a rich brown patina. The bronze surfaces throughout with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions and wear consistent with age and gentle handling. Just below the bottom of the harp, the bronze with some wear to the patina consistent with handling. The foot of the base with some light surface soiling concentrated to the recessed contours of the design and to the tops of the five feet. With a period socket.
