Vert et brun
signed; signed on the reverse
oil on canvas
36 by 28 ⅞ in. 91.4 by 73.3 cm.
framed: 41 ¼ by 33 ¾ in. 104.8 by 85.7 cm.
Executed in 1953.
This work is in fair condition overall. There is evidence of wear and handling to the surface and edges, including minor abrasions and pinpoint losses. There is scattered hairline cracking throughout, some of which cleave slightly near top and bottom edges including a resultant spot of loss at lower center. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, the work fluoresces lightly overall due to a varnish. Also under Ultraviolet light inspection, scattered areas throughout fluoresce darkly and appear to have benefited from restoration. The verso appears to have been wax-lined. Framed.
