André Romanet was the founder of an eponymous gallery which specialized in the Paris School of the 1950s onwards. He previously had a gallery in Algiers, where he exhibited the painter Le Pho in 1941. Le Pho continued to exhibit with Romanet in his Parisian gallery and his New York branch Romanet-Vercel in 1956, 1961 and 1963. Romanet exhibited Ollivary in 1963 with an introduction by Maximilien Gauthier entitled "L'Art sentimental d'Annette Ollivary."

André Romanet était un galeriste fondateur de la galerie éponyme qui se spécialisa dans l’école de Paris à partir des années 1950. Il avait auparavant eu une galerie active à Alger, où il exposa le peintre Le Pho en 1941. Le Pho continua à exposer avec Romanet dans sa galerie parisienne et sa branche New-yorkaise Romanet-Vercel, en 1956, 1961 et 1963.

Romanet exposa Ollivary en 1963 avec une introduction de Maximilien Gauthier intitulée "L’Art sentimental d’Annette Ollivary".
