Eleanor and Barbara, Chicago

gelatin silver print, mounted, signed in ink on the mount, flush-mounted again to board, framed, 1954

image: 6 ¾ by 6 ⅝ in. (17.1 by 16.8 cm.)

frame: 11 ¼ by 11 in. (28.6 by 27.9 cm.)

Please note the colors and shades in the online catalogue illustration may vary depending on screen settings. This early print is in generally excellent condition. There are scattered deposits of original retouching, including a linear deposit on Eleanor's hip, which are visible only under very close examination. This photograph is trimmed to the image and there is a tiny chip in the emulsion at the center right edge. A secondary mount is fully affixed to the reverse. Although there are no irregularly shorn edges, it is possible that the whole was trimmed to fit specific framing.
