The following are visible in raking light: a few scattered deposits of original retouching; and silvering near the edges. The mount is soiled and there are adhesive remnants and attendant abrasions running parallel to the edges of the photograph. The mount is faintly sunned in a thin band at the periphery of the image. There is edge and corner wear. The reverse is faintly soiled. 'PF38659JV' is written in pencil in an unidentified hand.
