A famille-rose 'Chicken' bowl and cover and a famille-rose 'Chicken' saucer
The bowl: Qing dynasty, Mark and period of Yongzheng
The saucer: Qing dynasty, 18th century
the dish painted with a rooster standing on rockwork issuing sprays of pink peony, surrounded by floral cartouches reserved on a pink lattice ground around the cavetto, the base left white; the bowl similarly painted, the interior with a rooster medallion and the exterior with three cartouches of pink peonies repeated on the cover, all against a pink lattice ground, the base of the bowl inscribed with a six character reign mark within a double circle, wood stand
