Leaf from a Psalter


Illuminated manuscript in Latin on vellum. [Southern Netherlands (Flanders), 13th century (c.1220s–30s)]

Single leaf, c.250×170mm; written in a very fine regular early Gothic bookhand above top line with 23 lines per page (c.165×90mm); the text comprising Psalm 106:8-28; every verse with a gold initial, line-fillers alternately red or blue; paginated in ink 213, 214; stained in the lower fore-edge corner
