An uncommon edition of Crescenzi's treatise on estate management. The woodcuts are mostly reused from the 1495 edition.

PROVENANCE:

Filippo Trenta, inscription on flyleaf dated 1754, stating that this precious book should not be sold or given away as it cost 22 giulii; Walter Ashburner, Florence, 1910, inscription and stamp on title-page


Filippo Trenta (1731-1796) studied law at Bologna, became bishop of Foligno from 1785 and also wrote poetry and plays. He owned a substantial library and numerous art works.
