the youthful god in a lively pose as if alighting, and pouring from an oinochoe in his raised right hand into a clam shell held in the left, the missing wings formerly attached behind the shoulders, and wearing high-soled sandals, short mantle over his left shoulder, and wreath of ivy leaves and berries, his hair parted in the center and falling in spiral tresses over the nape of the neck, the remaining polychrome ornament including red on the sandals, wreath, and lips, blue and gilding on the wreath, and black detail on the eyes.

Height 39.3 cm.

Repaired across proper right shoulder, base of left leg, and probably across the proper left wrist. The joins have been painted over. There is a large area of paint on the proper left buttock. Mouth of the ewer broken off. Edges of shell are chipped. Chips to one of the leaves over proper left ear. Surface slightly worn with areas of root marks. Two TL testing sample marks, one on proper right shoulder blade and one on proper right calf. Note that there is a large ancient vent hole in the back. Mounted on a Perspex base.
