A Corinthian or Etrusco-Corinthian Black-figured Pyxis or Lebes Gamikos
circa 575-550
decorated on one side with a siren between two horsemen, and on the other with three runners flanked by two panthers, the details in added white, encircling lines on the shoulder, tongues below the rim.
Height 19.5 cm.
European private collection, 19th Century (the number 3704 is painted in black on the underside in 19th c. Italian hand)
