number 3 from an edition of 3

patinated and gilt bronze, Plexiglas

30 ¾ x 64 ¾ x 15 in. (78.1 x 164.4 x 38.1 cm)

Overall in very good condition. The patinated bronze sculpture presents with variegated hues ranging from russet brown to lustrous gold. The sculpture includes highly naturalistic branches adorned with small gilt buds and with gold-finished ends. The bronze presents with surface and casting irregularities and minute pinholes inherent to production. Upon close inspection, the bronze presents with some extremely minor oxidation as well as minute and scattered verdigris spots. The plexiglas table element is inherent to the design and is in excellent condition, with scattered minor surface scratches and scuffing throughout consistent with gentle use. The tabletop presents with two slightly more pronounced scratches to the plexiglas, the largest measuring approximately 27 in. long and not visually distracting. This rare console table is one of only three ever made by the artist and beautifully blurs the boundary between furniture and sculpture.
