circa 1950

porcelain with white glaze and sgraffito design

with the artist's cypher

3 ⅝ in. (9.1 cm) high

6 ⅝ in. (16.7 cm) maximum diameter

Overall in very good condition. When viewed in person, the circumference of the bowl is uneven and oval-shaped, as intended by the artist. The porcelain surface presents with rich and variegated brown and off-white glazes enhanced by linear and cross-hatched sgraffito patterns. The porcelain surface presents with very minor irregularities inherent to the making and to the artist’s handmade technique. The inside of the bowl with a small bump to the porcelain surface which is inherent to the making. An unusual form with beautifully decorated glazed surfaces.
