Overall in very good condition. This bench displays superb carved decorations around the seat which are very well preserved overall. The wooden surfaces have been sensitively refinished to revitalize the rich appearance of the wood. The wood presents with light surface scratches and minute edge abrasions concentrated to the lower end of the legs consistent with gentle use. Some of the wood seams under the seat appear to have been sensitively filled to maintain the stability of the piece, which are not visually distracting. The upholstery has been sensitively replaced at some point in the history of the piece and is in excellent condition overall.
