inscribed lower right: 21

oil on board

unframed: 28.4 x 32.9 cm.; 11 x 13 in.

framed: 36.4 x 41 cm.; 14 1/2 x 16 1/8 in.

The board is flat and stable, the paint surface is clean and the varnish is clear and even. Inspection under ultraviolet light appears to reveal very little intervention, save for two small spots in the sky above Mark Antony. The painting appears to be otherwise untouched and in very good condition.
