The canvas is unlined and stable on its stretcher. The overall image reads well under a clear, glossy varnish. Under UV inspection, the varnish appears milky and there a small spots of retouching in the skirt of the figure and the floor. The painting can be hung in its current state but could benefit from being cleaned and re-varnished. Offered in a carved giltwood frame with a name plate that reads 'Le Miroir / A. Toulemouche.'
