This rare limited-edition GMT-Master II was produced by Rolex to commemorate the Sea King Helicopter, of which they only made 123 pieces. The Sea King was in British service from 1969 and was used by both the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force. It is perhaps most well-known for in its capacity as a Royal Navy Search and Rescue and RAF Search and Rescue Force helicopter. The last remaining Sea King was retired in 2018.

These specially commissioned GMT-Master II models were only sold to serving or ex serving members of the Armed Forces associated to the Sea King helicopters and were never available to the general public.

Rolex and the British Army have had close a relationship and collaborations for decades. Modern limited editions made for special forces are extremely sought-after by discerning collectors.

This lot is numbered 084/123. It is presented with its original accessories including the Guarantee card and is offered in extremely attractive condition.
