The total diamond weight is approximately 6.8 cts. The Cartier Mysterious collection took inspiration from Jean-Eugène Robert-Houdin, the renowned French magician and clock-maker who devised the first Mystery Clock in 1913.
The watch is fitted with levitating hands that can be observed through a totally transparent eccentric aperture. It would appear as though the hands are defying gravity and moving independently. In fact, the design is a clever illusion where the hands are fitted upon two layers of anti-reflective sapphire crystal discs. The movement of the watch is hidden by the remainder of the dial.
