Description

Château Latour à Pomerol 1995

Pomerol

Good levels, labels soiled, 3 slightly damaged

Older vines here have given a very winning wine which, amazingly, also remains very good value. The violets on the bouquet lead to plummy glycerol on the palate. From magnum in 2011, the nose is blissfully rich, spicy and coffee-ish, full of forest undergrowth opulence. Sweet leather and cherries on the palate. Utterly more-ish. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
