Folio (556 x 335mm.), printed title and two text leaves, 10 engraved charts (one chart on 2 sheets), engraved by Carl Bergquist, contemporary half sheep, speckled yellow boards, old paper label to spine, title slightly shorter, one map strengthened at verso, rubbed
RARE CHARTS OF SCANDINAVIA. We have been unable to trace any atlas by Strömcrona offered at auction. Nils Strömcrona (1664-1740), was a Swedish naval captain and cartographer. He is one of the most highly regarded Swedish cartographers, merited by his meticulous charts of Scandinavia’s coastlines.
