De forme cylindrique et décoré d'un motif géométrique et guilloché, ouvrant sur trois compartiments, un miroir et un étui à rouge à lèvres, les côtés rehaussés par deux diamants taille rose, dimensions 150 x 45 x 35 mm environ, signé Cartier, numéroté, poinçons anglais pour l'or 18K (750°/00), poids brut 317.78 g, 1953.

Rupert Emmerson fut l'un des designers majeurs ayant travaillé pour Cartier Londres dans les années 1960. Emmerson a dessiné de nombreux objets pour Cartier, mais il est surtout connu pour avoir conçu la montre Crash avec Jean-Jacques Cartier, l'un des modèles les plus audacieux et modernes du joaillier français.

The cylindrical case engraved with guilloché and geometrical pattern, opening to reveal three compartments, a mirror and a lipstick case, the sides accented by two rose diamonds, measuring approximately 150 x 45 x 35mm, signed Cartier, numbered, English assay marks for 18 carat gold, gross weight 317.78 grams; 1953.

Rupert Emmerson was a significant designer working for Cartier London during the 1960s. He is known for his elegant and luxury objects but also for conceiving the Crash watch with Jean-Jacques Cartier, one of Cartier's most inventive and modern designs.
