Condition Report

The canvas is unlined, the paint surface is relatively clean, and the varnish is clear and even. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals retouchings along all four margins and to a fine, superficial vertical scratch just to the right of the dog's eye, approx. 3 cm. long, to some small areas around it's lower jaw and on the background around its hind leg. The painting is in overall fairly good condition.
