painted and gilt in a vivid chinoiserie palette with pagoda, pine and foliage, the stand with a pierced gallery, painted to the centre with a vignette of a hut beside blossoming branch issuing from pierced rockwork, the underside of the stand with three sprigs of trailing flowers in iron-red, with zig-zag pattern rims
