4¾-inch enamel dial with open centre, annular date and centre seconds, signed Pochon A Paris, the shaped movement with pinwheel escapement, outside count wheel striking on a bell, forming the pendulum bob and suspended from a seven-bar gridiron pendulum rod with adjustable knife-edge suspension, beat adjustment to the crutch, the lyre-shjaped frame with sunmask and swag mounts, the oval marble base on knurled feet; with a later mahogany stand and glass dome
