A burr walnut Amsterdam-type longcase clock, Gerrit Rensman, Zwolle, circa 1740
13-inch dial with engraved scallop border, cast gilt spandrels depicting the four seasons, signed Gerrit Rensman Fecit, Zwol, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial, engraved date aperture, day and month sectors, ringed winding holes and central alarm disc, the five pillar movement with anchor escapement and Dutch striking on two bells, alarm train now lacking, the case with concave-silded cresting and re-gilded/replaced figures of Atlas and trumpeters above a blind fret frieze and turned hood pilasters, broken-arch trunk doorn with glazed lenticle, the plinth crossbanded and with scroll sides, on bun feet,
