Three Peacocks of this type were sold Sothebys, London, 8 December 1983, lots 91-93, from the collection of Paul Wallraf. They had 1787 Hungarian marks for Munkács, (Mukachevo) a Transylvanian town which became part of the Kingdom of Hungary in the mid-18th century. Another was sold Sothebys 28 January 2014 lot 116. This had town mark for Brody (1787-1806), which like Munkács is now in the Western Ukraine.
