rectangular, all sides with engine-turned acanthus leaf and scrollwork decoration in a moiré pattern resembling damask, chased thumbpiece centred with a stylised shell, maker's mark, gold standard mark illegible, in fitted silk-lined morocco leather case, accompanied by a handwritten note of provenance,
