A Fabergé gold-mounted, silver-gilt and guilloché enamel double-frame, workmaster Victor Aarne, St Petersburg, circa 1890
of shaped rectangular form, the two oval apertures within a ribbon-tied bound reed border, the body enamelled in translucent mauve over geometric engine-turned ground, with flower swags surmounting a laurel wreath, with two rosettes in the corners, the top with a torch and arrows interlacing with ribbons, struck Fabergé in Cyrillic with workmaster’s initials on the side and the strut, 88 standard, with scratched inventory number 56425
