X + X (TEN WORKS BY TEN PAINTERS)

The complete portfolio, comprising ten screenprints, seven in colors, one with collage, 1964, numbered 82 on the justification page, from the edition of 500, on various papers, each with the blindstamp of the printer, Ives Sillman, New Haven, published by The Wadsworth Atheneum, Hartford, contained in the original paper folders and cloth-covered portfolio box (10 prints)

sheets: 610 by 510 mm 24 by 20 in

The prints are in good condition and the sheets are full. A few with a tiny bend in a corner or an occasional handling crease or minuscule fox mark. The Kelly and Reinhardt with a few inconspicuous scuffs and spots of rubbing, visible in raking light. The Motherwell with very slight undulation to the sheet, presumably associated with the collage element. The Lichtenstein with surface scratches, scuffs and a few tiny printing imperfections. A slight pressure mark in the upper right corner of most folders and a few with an occasional soft handling crease or some offprinting. The portfolio case with foxing, spots of soiling (mainly at edges) and slight wear to the blue ink.
