This early print, with a semi-glossy surface, is in generally very good to excellent condition. The following are visible in raking light: scattered deposits of original retouching; several handling creases at the edges, none of which appear to break the emulsion; and a crescent-shaped crease at the upper edge with attendant minute chipping of the emulsion. The photograph is printed with thin, uneven margins, and there is some edge and corner wear.
The reverse is soiled. There are reduction notations in the photographer's hand in ink on the reverse. It is annotated in unidentified hands in pencil '952' and 'SG / 3/91/0.'
This print is accompanied by a Ginny Williams Collection label.
