This crime thriller was directed by Michael Winner, and stars Charles Bronson, Jan-Michael Vincent, Keenan Wynn and Jill Ireland. A top assassin - The Mechanic, Arthur Bishop (Charles Bronson) takes the aspiring and hard-hearted son of his former boss into his care at the secret organisation where he works, in order to teach him the tricks of his trade. The film is known for its opening sequence, which has no dialogue for the first sixteen minutes.
