This thriller was directed by Sam Peckinpah, and stars Steve McQueen, as an ex-convict, Carter 'Doc' McCoy and Ali MacGraw, as his devoted wife. Doc (Steve McQueen) is denied parole, and asks his wife (Ali MacGraw) to contact corrupt businessman Jack Beynon (Ben Johnson) to facilitate whatever it takes to free him. Beynon secures Doc's release, on the proviso that he does one job for him - a bank robbery - using two of his own men. There is a double-cross plot, with the robbery not going to plan, and the McCoy's are forced to escape to Mexico with the police on their heels.
