Bust of Lavinia Fontana, facing left, wearing a gown, braided hair, and a veil falling onto her shoulder; her left arm is truncated. Inner and outer linear borders. (obverse). A figure of Painting, wearing a loosely draped gown and a chain around her neck, her mouth covered by a band and her hair fluttering wildly, seated at her easel, painting with her right hand, and holding a matchstick in her left hand. On the ground beside her, brushes and a palette. Inner and outer borders, containing, below, dividers and set square. (reverse)

Diameter: 6.7cm.

Another cast, in lead, donated by George IV in 1825, is in the collection of the British Museum (G3,IP.370).
