Pieter Oets, mainly active in Zeeland, Rotterdam and Amsterdam, was a painter, engraver, miniature painter and draughtsman. His preferred genres were portraiture and still lifes. He was also active as a collector and a dealer and his name appears as the buyer of pastels by Boucher and other artists in London sales in 1758.
