Edmonstosaurus Sp

Late Cretaceous

USA

9.5 x 8.5 and 9.5 x 11.5 cm, presented together on an elegant stand by Lunardi of Paris.

Named for the city of Edmonton in the province of Alberta, Canada where one of their first fossils (the archetype) was first discovered in 1917; This duck-billed dinosaur was a favorite prey of the great Tyrannosaurids of that time including Albertosaurus andTyrannosaurus Rex. Twice the size of a fire truck, Edmontosaurus was one of the largest of the Hadrosaurs, reaching up to 13 meters in height and weighing up to 3.5 tons - a meal fit for a king.
