Named for the city of Edmonton in the province of Alberta, Canada where one of their first fossils (the archetype) was first discovered in 1917; This duck-billed dinosaur was a favorite prey of the great Tyrannosaurids of that time including Albertosaurus andTyrannosaurus Rex. Twice the size of a fire truck, Edmontosaurus was one of the largest of the Hadrosaurs, reaching up to 13 meters in height and weighing up to 3.5 tons - a meal fit for a king.
