A PAIR OF TRILOBITES

Yakutus Bergeroniaspis ornata in association with Phitophilaspis pergamena

Lower Cambrian

Lena River, Sinsk Formation, Siberia

Length of main fossil: 12.5 cm. Matrix: 46 x 19 cm. An exceptional, rare specimen in perfect condition, the lateral spines very sharp, and an excellent vertical row of spines down the back, with the dark chocolate color of the specimen in nice contrast to the cream color of the matrix. Housed in a very fine, custom brass vitrine stand by Lunardi of Paris.

A very large and fine specimen, in unusual association with a small specimen of another species. These specimens have always been rare, and are even more so now that the mine they come from is closed.
