8vo (155 x 90mm.), woodcut Aldine device on title-page and on final verso, text in italics, modern crushed tan morocco tooled in period style (in imitation of the Fugger binder), spine gilt in compartments, gilt edges
Aldus began work on his edition of Pontano's pastoral and didactic poetry in 1502, but it did not appear in print until after Pontano's death in 1503. A Neapolitan edition of his shorter poems also appeared in 1505.
