A volume depicting monuments and scenery in and around Parma, commissioned by Bombelles to commemorate the duchess of Parma's influence on the city's buildings and culture. Marie Louise Hapsburg-Lorraine (1797-1847), second wife of Napoleon, became duchess of Parma in 1814; Charles-René de Bombelles was her third husband (they married in 1834), though described in this work as her gran maggiordomo.
