Sir James Ramsay MacDonald was the first Labour Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The large version of the present bust dated to 1934 is held in the collection of the National Portrait Gallery. One of the present edition was gifted by the family of Sir James to the Houses of Parliament in 1988.
