A GOLD QUARTER REPEATING RUBY CYLINDER CALENDAR WATCH WITH DAY AND DATE AND SHORT CHAIN WITH RATCHET KEY

• Movement: frosted gilded, ruby cylinder escapement, plain three-arm balance with regulator and parachute suspension, spiral spring with compensation curb, two polished steel hammers repeating on flat faced coiled gongs

• Dial: silver engine-turned, satin-finished chapter ring with black Roman numerals, similarly finished outer minute ring, three subsidiary dials with contrasting engine-turned finish and chapter rings for seconds, date and day, blued steel hands

• Case: gold, engine-turned case back and band, the centre of the back with monogrammed circular cartouche J.W., ¼ turn plunge pendant for repetition, polished hinged gold cuvette with milled borders, bearing the signature Breguet and numbered 1672, case back numbered 1872 [sic] and with indistinct maker's mark   

• Key: short gold chain with ratchet key
