• Movement: gilded Souscription style, ruby cylinder escapement with three-arm plain balance, spiral spring with parachute regulation and compensation curb, signed Bernauda, Élève de Breguet
• Dial: silver engine-turned dial with Roman numerals and outer five minute divisions, signed Bernauda, Élève de Breguet, subsidiary dial calibrated for five minutes its track divided into 10 second increments running clockwise, further subsidiary dial for seconds running counter-clockwise, the subsidiaries with contrasting engine-turned decoration to dial centre, single pink gold hand with female setting square to the centre, two oval cartouches to the dial centre signed Bernauda Élève de Breguet
• Case: plain silver back and bezel, silver pendant and bow, gilt hinged cuvette with central winding aperture and milled border, signed Bernauda, Élève de Breguet, case back numbered 4811, with Paris control mark introduced from 1838 and J B within a losenge-shaped cartouche

In his Dictionnaire des Horlogers Français, Tardy notes that Bernauda was recorded in Paris at the Rue Saint-Barthélémy in 1806 and later, in 1812, at the Rue Saint-Honoré (see op. cit. 1971, Vol. I, p.47).
