The canvas appears original. There are a few areas of fine lines of craquelure, including towards the upper centre, in the upper right quadrant, possibly with a few minute associated specks of loss. There are possibly a couple of minute specks of loss to the impasto tips. There are some possible areas of bloom to the work, mostly to the lower half. There is some light surface dirt, minor instances of studio detritus and specks of matter to the work in places. This excepting, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
Inspection under Ultraviolet light reveals an area of retouching to the upper centre, in keeping with the aforementioned craquelure. There are a few further small areas of possible retouching. More detailed reading is obscured by a layer of varnish.
The work is presented in a gold painted wooden frame.
