Very elegant writing table by one of the most celebrated Ebéniste of the second part of the 18th century. Pure design highlighted by contrasts with ebony. Overall condition is fine, there are minor and partly wood discoloration due to sun light on the top. Minor marks and scratches to the surface of the top. Some stains to the giltbronze mounts. Otherwise in really fine condition.

Le célèbre ébéniste Martin Carlin a réalisé plusieurs variantes de ce modèle de table extrêmement raffiné qu'il a décliné en utilisant différents matériaux précieux pour les décorer comme celle conservée au musée du Louvre en laque du Japon (inv. OA 10466).
