It has not been possible to examine the work entirely unframed. The canvas is lined. There is a milky varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating. However examination under UV light appears to reveal dots and lines of retouching along the extreme edges and at all four corners and an additional small dot of retouching to the upper right quadrant in the sky. There are a few scattered hairline lines of craquelure. This work is in overall good condition.
